Grassroots Non-Porfit Campaign Training
Brave New Foundation has created a new model of education, grass roots
volunteer involvement and interactive technology utilizing theatrical
marketplace, "guerilla" distribution tactics. In doing this work over the
last few years, we have developed a talented team of filmmakers, technology
wizards, business activists and organizers who create media and distribute
it to the public via all means possible, including internet, radio,
television, traditional news media, theaters, house parties, film festivals,
fundraisers and other traditional and alternative distribution methods that
create alliances with multiple organizations and educate those whose
activity impacts legislation and social and economic conditions.
The goal of the Grassroots Nonprofit Training Program is to share our
experience with other nonprofits so that they can increase the visibility of
their issues and impact of their work. Through collaboration with other
organizations we can teach our model and also learn about successes that
will help achieve our collective goals.
We see our job as informing as many people and organizations as we can in
order to strengthen and serve democracy. Our goal is precisely to create the
narrative thread that ties these groups together, to be bold and inspiring,
and to help everyone work together toward solutions.
